Founded in 1995, London's Subversive Records has become one of the UK's leading dance labels with over 20 albums and now soon to reach the 80 singles mark, which has included 7 UK Top 40 hits and a US Billboard Club No1.

From it's early house and techno releases, Subversive soon built up an impressive roster of US house acts including the likes of Angel Moraes, Cevin Fisher, Victor Imbres, Louie Balo, Keoki, as well as starting the hugely sucessful techno compilation series, Modern Electronics and UK Garage Fever.

The DJ house mix compilation series 'In The Mix...' followed soon after and further consolidated the profile and reputation of the label with albums mixed by Angel Moraes, Mark Picchiotti, Alcatraz and Johnny Vicious.

Following on from this early worldwide success, Subversive has developed & grown alongside our signed artists, both creatively & commercially via consistently well-received output and also by expanding the in-house roster to include the likes of Jean-Philippe Aviance, Blue Amazon, top German artists York, and US house don George Morel.

Continuing this run came Lithium & Sonya Madan's "Ride A Rocket", Cevin Fisher's "Freaks Come Out", "Burning Up", & "Love You Some More", York's 'The Awakening' and "OTB", Subversive began to rise to new levels of commercial success, bringing you only the very best in dance music.

More recently, Subversive has continued to increase its reputation for producing quality dance music with the likes of top international producers Steve Lawler, Peter Presta, Murk, B*P*M, and John 00 Fleming, eatblishing the "Subversive Hard" label to cater for the trance/hard house end of the music scale.

As the label moves into 2004 and with Cat number 100 imminent, the future looks good. Look forward to plenty more great signings and top dance music soon.
